"The Rink" is not a traditional musical with a conventional happy ending. It deals with disillusionment and greed, betrayal and family hatred. It does not shrink from crude language. It has no pure, white heroines or noble, upright heroes. I love it because of its social realism and its fearlessness in airing topics not often seen on the musical stage - Anne MacKenzie (Director).
